Ladies,

I'm 6 weeks today and have started to bleed ever so slightly.  I only notice it when I go to the bathroom and wipe; however, one time this morning I did see a few drops in the toilet.  The color is dark red (almost like menstrual bleeding).  I have no cramps or any discomfort whatsoever.  Your thoughts?  I'm scheduled to see my doctor first thing tomorrow morning anyways and am also scheduled for my first ultrasound tomorrow afternoon.  I guess I'll go ahead and call my doctor to let him know what is going on.  I'm just at a loss right now.  I never had any bleeding with my first child, this will be my second.  We're supposed to go on vacation on Thursday and I'm scared to death now!  Thanks for any words you can offer!

UPDATE - Called my doctor and he is off today!  The nurse is having me come in for bloodwork.  They are going to check my HCG levels today, and then again on Thursday morning before we leave.  She said they will do a cumulative HCG check today.  Any idea as to what my numbers should look like at 6 weeks if everything is going well?  Thanks!

SECOND UPDATE - Just called Radiology to see if they had any cancellations and they can fit me in today at 1:45pm.  I'm going to head out to get my HCG levels checked and then on to have my ultrasound.  I'm so scared right now.  Can't keep from crying even as I type this!  Dear Lord please let this be nothing! PLEASE!

Hoping everything is going well, and that it is nothing to worry about.  Keep us updated, and I know how scary blood can be..I had some in all 3 of my pregnancies.

Sorry you are scared. It *can* be normal to have bleeding and spotting. I did before. So try to have positive thoughts till you get your labs done.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I have been going through something similar and I am 12 weeks now.  It is unexplained but nothing serious says my Dr after a second ultrasound to make sure.  Just take a deep breath and I know it is scary but trust that God will take care of you and your little one.
